Welcome to Instituto ICSA, your best source for information on how to learn French fast!
Nearly every person over the age of five is convinced that they cannot learn a new language. And French, with its throaty r’s and seemingly complicated grammar is often one of the most intimidating languages to approach.
That’s why I created this site. To help everyday people gain confidence in learning the French language.
So if you want to learn French now, whether it’s for school, your job or to impress someone, then read on to discover the valuable secrets that helped me (a French language instructor) and my husband on the road to becoming fluent in French and can help you too. Before you go any further though, let’s dispel a few myths…
The Age Factor
You may have been told that you can’t learn to speak French as an adult because only children have that gift. Horse crap! The only gift that children have when it comes to languages is that they usually don’t care what people think about them and so they learn all languages the same. I’ll show you how you can get in touch with your child-like side to jumpstart your learning.
The Location Factor
Some people believe that you cannot learn French fast unless you live in a French-speaking country. While this would be the ideal, it’s not always true. For instance, many people who move to or visit a foreign country without speaking at least a few key phrases feel isolated from the culture around them and end up not experiencing it to its fullest. You can learn French now, wherever you are, by implementing some of the strategies on this site. You’ll be surprised to discover how many opportunities to practice your French surround you on a daily basis.
The Classroom Factor
Compared to the old French cassette programs it might be better to study French in a classroom, but with today’s fast-paced lifestyle and evolving technology, you can learn French online quickly and easily. The classroom has its place, especially if you need to learn technical jargon or need a rapid turnaround on how good your accent is, but for most people, a good French software program will help you achieve a level of fluency that is appropriate for most occasions.

How Long Does It Take To Learn French?
Like with anything else, you will learn faster with regular repetition. For most people putting in 20-30 minutes per day using a well-structured program, they will learn to speak French in eight to 10 weeks. For those who already speak another foreign language, they may learn a little faster. For others, it may take a few more weeks or a few more minutes added to each session.
As I state above, the software must be structured in such a way to facilitate rapid learning. A good rule of thumb is choosing learn French software with real testimonials and a money-back guarantee. First, you want to be sure that everyday people like yourself have found the program useful. Secondly, you want to make sure that the software manufacturer is confident in their product.
Some products may seem worthwhile because of their exorbitant price, but in effect you are only paying for their slick advertising campaign. That does not necessarily mean that some of the more popular French software isn’t good, but why would you pay $300 dollars more for a product that is only as effective as one that costs under $100?
